Chapter 1: How You Approach Life and How You Appear To Others
Leo Rising:
Ferociously proud and somewhat vain, you like to be impressive and to be seen as Somebody Special. You are not timid, meek, or self-effacing, and are rarely content being in the background or in the subordinate position. You are a natural leader, and do not take orders from others very well. You must have something of your own, something creative - be it a business, a project, a home or whatever - that you can develop and manage according to your own will and vision. Whatever you do, you do it in a unique, dramatic, individual way. You like to put your own personal stamp on it.
You also have a very strong sense of dignity, self-respect, and personal honor and are deeply offended if someone treats you in a humiliating or dishonorable way. You will rarely confront the offender - you are too proud to do so - but you will lose your affection and respect for them. You dislike pettiness and hate to be snubbed or ignored.
You admire others who are strong individuals like yourself. When you befriend someone, you are tremendously loyal, sincere, and willing to go to extraordinary lengths to make that person happy. You are very giving and generous, but your gifts are never anonymous - you expect recognition and appreciation for them. You also expect the intense loyalty that you offer to your dear ones to be reciprocated. However, you often have trouble working with people who are as strong as yourself, for you do not really cooperate or share the leading role very easily. If you are not in the leading role, you aspire to be and will compete with the person who is.
You have great heart and courage, and people often look to you for strength, encouragement, and affirmation. You always have your best face forward and rarely allow others to see you hurting, disheartened, or vulnerable. You also have a very strong need for love, admiration, appreciation, and praise, although you don't like others to realize just how important it is to you.
Your outlook on life tends to be very personal and rather self-centered. Your own self-expression, self-actualization and self-realization interests you more than anything else. You feel that if you do your best where you are, the rest of the world will take care of itself.
Chapter 2: The Inner You: Your Real Motivation
Sun in Taurus:
You are a steadfast and patient soul, capable of tremendous devotion, dedication, endurance, and constancy. The ability to follow through and stick with things is one of your greatest assets. Once your course is set, you pursue it tenaciously until it is completed, stubbornly resisting any attempts to sway you from your purpose.
You have a very practical nature and want to see concrete, tangible results for your efforts, and you are not one for spinning wild dreams that are unlikely to come into fruition. Most of your "wild dreams" have to do with material achievements, well-being, and security, for you have a great love of the physical world and you want to experience and enjoy it to the full. Though you will work long and persistently, you also have a strong sensual and comfort-loving side, and you want to enjoy what you have worked for. In fact, you can be enormously lazy at times and have a tendency to overindulge in good food and other earthly pleasures. You also love the beauty of the natural world and probably prefer a serene country setting rather than an urban life style.
At heart your needs are simple and you are easy to please. You have a strong desire for security, stability, and peace, and will rarely make changes unless you are forced to do so. You are not very demanding emotionally, though you do crave lots of physical closeness and affection. Because of your faithfulness, emotional steadiness, and gentle strength, others often depend upon you for support. Though you hate upheaval and sudden changes, you usually maintain your poise and equanimity. You also have an innate sense of harmonizing with nature, allowing things to grow and unfold in their own time, and the patience to nurture something into being - be it a garden, a child, or some creative project. You make an excellent mother or father, especially if you follow your instincts more often than "the experts".
You have three major faults: one is your bull-headed obstinacy. The second is your unwillingness to deviate from your safe, predictable routine. And the third is your tendency to always insist upon realism and undervalue the imaginative, speculative, and fanciful - in other words, you lack the ability to play with ideas and possibilities, to open your mind to the new.

Your career, reputation, and public image are very important to you. You have a strong desire to be influential or make your mark on the world. The merely personal sphere does not satisfy you; your ambitions include making a major contribution and receiving broad recognition for your unique effort and gifts. You may undervalue the personal or inner side of life.
Sun Conjunct Moon:
The above description of you is so deeply ingrained that you have little objectivity and often little appreciation for other, different ways of approaching life. You tend to be one-sided. There is little ambiguity in your makeup and you generally know what you want and what will make you happy.
Sun Conjunct Mercury:
You tend to see things from your perspective only and to be rather subjective. You also enjoy talking and expressing your views but you don't always listen as well. You have a clear mind, a love of learning and new experiences, and need constant mental stimulation and activity.

Mercury in Taurus:
Your mind operates in a very deliberate and methodical manner and you dislike being rushed or forced to give an opinion before you have thoroughly ruminated and digested an idea. You are also difficult to influence once your mind is made up.
Though slower to grasp new concepts or learn new skills, you are patient and persevering and, in fact, often become quite adept at whatever you put your mind and hand to, for you are willing to devote much time and attention to it. You succeed not so much because of your mental brilliance, but because you have the ability to concentrate and follow a project through to its completion. You have an aptitude for singing or drawing.
Mercury in 10th house:
You think a great deal about your career, your reputation and public image, and the way you make a contribution or impact on the world at large. Public speaking or communications of some other kind is likely to be an important aspect of the work you do.
Moon Conjunct Mercury:
You are a natural psychologist or counselor, interested in the inner motivations, feelings, personal life, and problems of others. You are a sympathetic listener and you also love to discuss (endlessly!) your own experiences and feelings. You tend to be very personal and subjective in your point of view. You have a talent for getting others to talk about their lives, dreams, desires, and other things that are personally meaningful to them. You could be an excellent interviewer, reporter, or biographer. Idle talk and gossip are your vices.
The study of the past - history, archeology, genealogy, etc. - is of great interest to you. Psychology, symbolism, mythology, and languages are also areas that you are drawn to.
Chapter 4: Emotions: Moods, Feelings, Romance
Moon in Taurus:
Even tempered and peace loving, you are not easily ruffled and are rarely given to emotional displays. You have a calming effect on more high-strung or volatile people, and an emotional steadiness that others find soothing. Though gentle and not easily provoked, you are tremendously stubborn and will resist any change which requires an emotional adjustment, such as changes in your home life or marriage.
You seek security and loyalty in love, are extremely devoted to your loved ones, and provide a warm, nurturing atmosphere for them. However, you tend to cling and seek to keep others from changing.
A great deal of physical affection, closeness, and touching is essential to your well-being, and you have a tendency to overindulge in sensual comforts and pleasures. At times you substitute food for emotional comfort and love.
Moon in 10th house:
You work well with the public and have an instinct for what the public wants and will respond to. Having a "nest" is not especially important to you, and you may invest more of your emotional energy into your career or public life than in your private life. Providing for and caring for others in a professional capacity is very likely.
Venus in Aries:
Your love feelings and desires are easily aroused but it may be difficult to sustain your romantic interest in a relationship after the initial, exciting "chase and conquest". You enjoy a partner who is dynamic and alive, someone with a strong independent streak, and you do not like things to become too peaceful or predictable in the love arena. You want to see sparks fly once in awhile, even if that means instigating a fight.
Venus in 10th house:
Promoting beauty, the arts, or entertainment can make you very happy. You want to contribute something positive and loving to the world at large and you want to be recognized for your beauty, artistic gifts, or loving generosity. You may "marry" your work - that is, be more involved in your career than in your private life. You are a natural hostess or diplomat.
Venus Conjunct Saturn:
Intimacy does not come easily to you and you may appear cold or unfeeling to others due to your emotional reserve and caution. Perhaps due to painful relationships and separations in your early life, you do not trust others very easily and it takes a long time to take down all of your barriers and defenses. You may feel that you have few friends or people that really care about you. You need to learn to value and love yourself more and to express your appreciation for others more openly.
Venus Trine Jupiter:
You appreciate beautiful surroundings and congenial company, and though you enjoy helping people, you will rarely put yourself out too much in order to do so. You are good-humored and generous at heart but inclined to be lazy.
Chapter 5: Drive and Ambition: How You Achieve Your Goals
Mars in Taurus:
Once you set your mind on a goal, your dedication, determination, and commitment to it are extraordinary. You pursue your ambitions tenaciously and will stubbornly refuse to give up, let go, or be influenced in any way. Like Aesop's tortoise, you labor patiently and steadfastly until you achieve what you want - or until it is clear beyond a shadow of a doubt that all is lost. You are a reliable, consistent, and productive worker, and often shoulder more of the workload than your co- workers, usually without complaint. The nitty-gritty work often falls to you. You prefer a regular routine, with definite hours and clearly defined responsibilities and tasks. In fact, establishing a pattern or routine is very important to your success because once you get started in a certain direction, is easy for you to follow it through to its completion. Getting started is more difficult. You have a lazy, comfort-loving side and there is often a good deal of inertia for you to overcome before you get going. Once you get a momentum going, your energy level is strong and steady.
You are interested in concrete results and solid, practical achievement. You need to have some tangible product or contribution to show for your efforts, and cannot be content with only intangible rewards (such as having a good time, learning, or spiritual enrichment). Material well-being and security is also a large factor in determining what you do. Your stamina and persistence is your great strength but it can also work against you; you can get caught in a rut and refuse to seize new opportunities. You also tend to play it safe, and to limit yourself in that way.
Mars in 10th house:
You are likely to be known for your drive, energy, ambition, and competitive spirit. A successful career based on your ability to take initiative, be a leader, or excel in physical strength and prowess is likely. You most definitely want to be a winner and will work hard to achieve that.
Mars Opposition Neptune:
Ordinary life often seems drab and uninteresting to you and you must have something that stirs your imagination, some vision or ideal or dream to motivate you. You have a strong urge to act out your fantasies or to live your dream, and you will DO things that others only talk about or dream about. Artistic creation, drama, or other areas in which you can express yourself imaginatively are excellent for you.
Work that serves only your own narrow personal interests does not satisfy you. You may lack the competitive edge, the fighting spirit, the me-first attitude that is often required for material advancement and success. You also tend to either overestimate or underestimate your own power and abilities.
Mars Square Jupiter:
You are enterprising, ambitious, and have a strong desire to succeed in a big way. Ever on the look out for new opportunities and promising new ventures, you are willing to take risks if you sense that something is going to be a winner. No matter how much you accomplish, you never seem to be completely satisfied. You always feel you can do more, and set your sights on another goal. You feel frustrated in limited circumstances, and you will leave secure and reasonably successful situations if they do not offer challenges and potential for growth and expansion in the future. You like to keep stretching your limits, to see how far you can go. Sometimes you over-extend yourself or promise more than you can actually achieve, due to an overly optimistic or overly confident assessment of your own capacities. You relish healthy competition and feel that it spurs you on to even greater achievements.
Mars Trine Uranus:
You are dynamic, decisive, and somewhat impulsive. You respond quickly and spontaneously to challenges, and you enjoy vigorous physical activities that require fast reflexes and a good sense of rhythm and timing. You have an abundance of energy and vitality, and a restless desire to see progress and change - you hate stagnation. You are individualistic and make a good leader, spearheading new projects and inspiring others to act.
Mars Trine Pluto:
You have a strong sense of mission and you instinctively know that to achieve anything great, one must eliminate superfluous activities, and give oneself wholly to the goal one wishes to accomplish. Your zeal, enthusiasm, and clarity of purpose enable you to succeed and to achieve whatever you aim for. You have a strong will, but you are usually quiet and understated about it.
Chapter 6: Other Influences
Jupiter in Leo:
You cannot tolerate smallness or pettiness in any form, and you have a tendency to exaggerate. Also, you have a wonderful sense of drama! You must live boldly and heroically. Otherwise you feel you are simply existing and wasting your talents.
The desire for personal recognition - or even Fame - and a need to do something you feel really proud of, motivate you strongly. You have an unusual capacity for fun and playfulness also.

Wealth, material well-being, and prosperity are very important to you, and you would never choose a profession that didn't offer you great promise and opportunity for growth (financial and otherwise).
You are very generous and sometimes careless with money; you don't want to hold on to it, you want to enjoy it and use it to enrich your life. Whatever you do with your money, you do in a big way - making it, spending it, or blowing it! You may accumulate elegant, high quality things (art, jewelry, etc).

You have a need to escape from the demands of everyday life, and reach out to something bigger, more exotic, more exciting. Traveling is good for you. You may also daydream, fantasize, or philosophize a great deal.
Saturn in Aries:
You have difficulty asserting your will and desires directly and openly. You also may suppress your anger and aggressiveness. Developing self-confidence, courage, and faith in yourself are important tasks for you.
Saturn in 9th house:
Your attitude toward religion, philosophy, and politics is very conservative and possibly narrow or rigid. On the one hand, you may believe in nothing that is speculative or intangible, requiring proof for any idea presented to you. Each idea is thoroughly and systematically examined. On the other hand, you may tenaciously cling to your grand philosophical or metaphysical beliefs and opinions, refusing to modify them or to be open and receptive to others' insights and perspectives.
Your overall outlook on life is serious, and you may feel that life or God will punish you if you do not watch your step!
Uranus in Virgo:
You are part of a 7 year group of people who employ their skills and creativity to bring about a great deal of practical reform in education, medical care, and other social services. Your innovations are not radical or unusual, but they are usually effective.
Your generation also has a curious mixture of both conservative, ethical people, and rebellious, disruptive people. There seems to be little middle ground for your age group, and you swing to one extreme or the other. The conservative people strive to reinstate strict moral standards, want to swiftly punish criminal behavior, and strive to highlight the importance of old-fashioned values in our lives, laws, and overall life style. You grasp new concepts quickly and are interested in new technologies, discoveries, and innovations. Unconventional ideas and creative, original approaches to problems are very attractive to you also. You are easily bored and may have trouble concentrating on one idea or task at a time. You have an inventive mind.
Uranus Conjunct Pluto:
You were also born during a period that lasted approximately 5 years and is characterized by extreme restlessness and an impatient, dynamic attitude towards life. You are part of a group of people who can be explosive and even violent in their reactions to situations. You do not tolerate being restricted, and your age group rebels with force and anger against oppressive situations.
Uranus Sextile Neptune:
You are quite open to psychic experiences and altered states of consciousness, and do not have to work very hard to achieve them. You belong to an idealistic, free-thinking group of people who will advance the spiritual progress of humankind as a whole.
Neptune in Scorpio:
You are part of a 14 year group of people that have very intense psychic sensitivity and imagination. Your age group is very attracted to the strange, weird, and unusual. The sense of the macabre and bizarre is strong, and this is reflected in much of the music, art, and fashions of your age group. There is also a deep mystical sense, and Eastern religions and meditation are very attractive to your age group.

Pluto in Virgo:
You are part of a 15 year group of people that are driven by the need to find an ethical standard and a clear sense of what is right and what is wrong. There is a subconscious drive to straighten out all the world's evils and create a world of perfect order. There is a feeling of repulsion to anything ugly, dirty, or grotesque. Oddly enough, there is also often a fascination with these very things that are so distasteful, and often a feeling of hopelessness and despair about the world's condition.
These inner, emotional and conflicting qualities are reflected in the attitudes and life styles of your generation. Most people of your age group are conservative and ethical, and a small minority goes to the opposite extreme and relishes being strange or unusual in appearance, and sloppy or even grotesque in manners and appearance. There seems to be no middle ground for your generation. Usually, the rebellious type of behavior comes out during adolescence, and tends to subside thereafter, and your age group tends to be very conservative in later life.
Your age group is not very good at compromising and tends to have strong ideas about what is right and what is wrong. There is a strong feeling that you must extinguish evil in the world. Certainly, fostering good works is very commendable, but a categorical and simple-minded response to complex issues is not helpful. Your age group will undergo great transformations in attitudes regarding Good and Evil and will swing to great extremes. Your generation will also make great contributions in the areas of medicine and nutrition, ecology, and education.
