MOTHER DEATH

Mother Death, you are made of Blood,
you are made of Life.
Death of the world that surrounds me,
like a movie, like an illusion,
a reflection of the Void that lies within me.

Mother Death, you are a seed in a dark womb,
you are the Pause and yet you are the Drum in my soul.
And in every pause and every reflection I find myself,
but then I get lost because I don’t want to re-member.

Oh, how I want to forget the path to your wings.
I find that I am not what I was, nor what I am.
I am a different person, a Stranger to myself.
A person I have only envisioned in my darkest dreams.

And that’s precisely what I fear deep in my heart:
I fear that if I truly believe that I am that I am,
then I will realize I cannot be more than that
which was determined by the Judge and the False Father.

I fear to discover that Death leads nowhere.
But Mother, is Death supposed to take anywhere at all?
Isn’t it a moment of sweet concentration,
a very dark night in a hidden cave of wonders?

Mother Death, you are made of Blood,
you are made of Life.
Goddess of the Death, darken my road,
let me lift your veil and drink your blood.
Let me love you so I can re-member.

Let me be every step, every seed
and every drop in your eternal ocean.
Take me to your midnight heart,
and reveal the Violet Fire.

Speak the charm of the gen-isis.
Mother Death, open the door.
Mother Death, let me die.
